Our History

AMPS Services was established in 2008 with a vision to provide top-notch electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering services. AMPS Services bridges the gap between design and implementation by providing maintenance, project, and site services. The company was founded by Conrad Asmundson, who saw a need for a firm that could offer a more personalized and customized approach to project execution.

In the early years, the company focused on building its reputation as a reliable and efficient E,I&C consulting firm. Our small team worked on a variety of projects, ranging from small industrial facility alterations to medium-scale mining projects. Our commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceptional customer service helped us quickly establish a loyal client base and gain a positive reputation in the industry.

As the company continued to grow, we expanded our services to include power quality testing & analysis, PLC programming & automation, testing & commissioning assistance, and a wide variety of power system analysis. Our team also grew, attracting the best and brightest technologists and engineers in the industry who shared our passion for delivering innovative and effective solutions.

Over the years, we have maintained our commitment to providing top-quality engineering services and continuously adapting to the changing needs of our clients and technology. Our team has always been at the forefront of new and innovative technologies, ensuring that our clients receive the most up-to-date and effective solutions.

Today, AMPS Services is a well-established and respected electrical/instrumentation/controls engineering consulting firm, with a team of 15 experienced technologists and engineers with a portfolio of successful projects across a variety of industries. We are proud of our 15-year history and look forward to continuing to deliver exceptional service and innovative solutions to our clients for many years to come.

Conrad Asmundson, President and Head E/I&C Engineer, P.Eng

Conrad Asmundson, P.Eng

Conrad Asmundson, P.Eng is a Senior E/I & C Engineer with 29 years of experience in a large variety of industrial, utility, and municipal projects. He has acted in the capacity of Senior Engineer in design, project manager, supervisor, and superintendent roles.
His experience includes detailed design/management for electrical distribution systems and industrial plant control systems, distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controls (PLC), design/management, industrial maintenance practices, maintenance crew/department supervision, and construction site management and project start-up/commissioning.

Dan Roberts, P.Eng

Dan Roberts, P.Eng is an E/I & C Engineer with 16 years of experience. After a successful tenure in a field services firm, Dan joined AMPS as a Junior Engineer and quickly became a key contributor to AMPS’ overall success. Dan now leads client project delivery, mentors junior team members, and is an integral part of the AMPS organization.
Dan leverages his extensive field experience to bring real-world solutions to client problems. Coupled with an analytical, results-oriented mindset, Dan is able to provide leadership to complex technical challenges.
